Tie Ring, w/ 4" Bolt Centers: Stainless Steel

These tie rings are made of solid stainless steel, with a slight groove on the top of the loop.

You can replace your Aluminum tie rings with this Stainless Steel Tie Ring, and they have exactly the same bolt center hole measurements, 4" centers. They are a lot less likely to break than the aluminum tie loops when a horse pulls on them. You may choose one with or without the gaskets. Stainless steel has no reaction when mounted on aluminum, steel or composite trailers.

1/2" diameter material, 2 1/8" outer height (because of the groove on the top), 1 3/4" inner height, 1 7/8" inner diameter, 4" bolt centers. Both generally mount with 3/8" diameter carriage bolts, BUT if you remove the gasket on the TRSS4G, you will find the hole is larger & can be installed it with a 1/2" diameter bolt, which may be geared for "other" uses besides a horse trailer tie loop. These have been used in a weight-bearing capacity, related to gyms. Breaking capacity is 3,500 lbs.

Purchased 8 of the stainless steel tie rings with rubber gaskets to replace all of the cast aluminum tie rings in our horse trailer. In all the years of trailering we never had a horse break a tie ring until a nervous recent addition easily pushed thru a front buss bar on his first ride home. After thinking about it we realized all our previous trailers had either steel or stainless steel tie rings and those previous horses were well seasoned travelers. These are much more stout tie rings. Fit perfectly into the same holes. Rubber gaskets help to separate the stainless steel from the aluminum frame members. There's more peace of mind now until the new boy gets more miles in the trailer. Ordering was simple and delivery was in the blink of an eye. This is my new "go to" trailer parts store hands down. They have just about everything.

I used two of these stainless steel tie rings for a non-trailer application. My 1,700 lb, three year old Clydesdale has trashed every anchor for his stall's stall-guard gate that I've tried up until now. These stainless steel tie rings used as anchors have passed his "stress test" with flying colors! Thanks for carrying these great parts. No trailer manufacturer or anyone else on the internet had these steel tie rings in their inventory and/or in stock. Also, super fast service and delivery from Oregon to Georgia.

I bought four of these stainless steel rings to replace the aluminum ones on my trailer. Our horse snapped the aluminum ones on the breast bar like they were little twigs. He's big and needs something that is much stronger so we went with the stainless steel ones. Ordering was simple and shipping was very quick. We're happy that he has a little more protection in the trailer.

I purchased these to replace some aluminum rings that were used to hold up the breast bar in my 2 horse trailer. They worked great and even stood up to The Destroyer, who broke 2 of the aluminum rings.

I bought these rings to replace aluminum rings that broke. They fit well and look like they'll do the job (maybe I'll update on finish and corrosion in a few months). Compared to the aluminum rings, the mounting pads are thinner (.255" vs .37") so the bolts stick through a little farther. I used an adjustable wrench to tighten the bolts rather than the socket wrench that took them off. The bolt holes are also larger (.43" vs about .36"). The top of the hole is beveled so the nut holds them securely with no wiggle, even though I didn't get the rubber grommets. (I'm not an expert with calipers so ymmv.)
