We have upgraded our roof vents and now offer you the best & safest roof vent for equines on the market today! The 3 metal interior blades that were a cutting danger to animals are now eliminated--much safer for your animals, in case of impact. The interior handle with which to position the vent lid is fastened on much more securely and it is easier to grasp. It has a ergonomic grip -one squeeze of the handle relieves the sealing force for simple opening in either direction. In addition, there is a full-size neoprene gasket in the lid to prevent leaks. The handles protrude only 1 1/2" on the inside of the trailer. The closed lid protrudes 2 5/8" on the exterior when shut, and 4 1/4" when open in either position. Comes with12 pre-drilled holes for mounting. Stainless steel mounting screws sold separately on this page.
We recommend installing one of the closed-cell gasket made specifically for this roof vent to prevent leaking. These gaskets also make a great template for cutting a perfect hole in the trailer roof.
We are the only company we know of that offers two sizes of trim ring for this vent--1 1/8" tall for a one-thickness roof or a taller trim at 2 1/4" tall for an insulated roof--both at the same low price. These trims can be cut to fit.
