Snap Hook, 2K (an "S" hook with a safety catch) OUT OF SOCK
The 2K snap hook takes the place of a "S" hook, such as in connecting butt chains to the trailer divider, or connecting to the end of a chain anywhere. The catch snaps in place to secure the hook.It is safer than an S hook, because it has a catch or snap that closes the gap that an S hook has at the connection. 3 1/8" long X 2" wide X 3/8" in diameter. After the chain is in position, the bottom of the S hook is squeezed shut to form a loop around the end of a chain.
Rated as Class 1 at 2,000 lbs, so it can be used for butt chains OR used to replace the S Hooks end of safety chains on small utility or horse trailers. For heavier trailers, choose a 5K.
