Slider Window with Livestock Bars, 24"W X 20"T (rough hole measurement)
These livestock windows are the most common size available for horse trailers installed at the horse's rear or on the back doors of horse trailers. They feature "smoke" tinted safety glass, a 1/2 screen, and 4 strong aluminum bars welded to the interior of the window that keep the livestock from getting injured. An aluminum clamp ring (for a professional-looking installation) can be purchased, and the clamp ring choices are for either a 1/8" thick trailer wall or a 1 1/2" thick trailer wall. Your existing clamp ring can be re-used if the rough hole opening is 24" X 20".
*You will need sixteen #8 or #10 X 3/8" sheet metal screws for installation with a properly-sized clamp ring. We think you should re-use the screws you remove from the original window, if possible, because they will be the perfect size for your application.
DIY disclaimer: Anytime you are going to cut a hole in your trailer, we recommend you be perfectly sure of what your are doing. If you have not done this before, or you are not sure of how this window installs, please take the trailer to a professional. The window does not come with instructions, because if you have any questions, don't do it yourself!
We recommend that all parts and accessories be installed by a professional. If you choose to install them yourself, Trail Pals will not be responsible for any damage caused to yourself or your property.
