Super easy to use, these strong Quick Links are generally used to connect chain to attached D-rings or welded rings in applications such as butt chains, breast & butt bars, safety chains for trailers, etc. Just screw open the locking nut, attach to the chain & screw the lock nut securely closed. Electro-galvanized steel material.
Always match the diameter of the quick link with the diameter of the chain it's connected to, and that way the quick link will not be the "weak link".
1/4" Quick Link is rated to at 880 lbs., 2 1/4" long X 1 1/4" wide X 1/4" diameter, for light applications such as children's swings and to connect 1/4" chain.
5/16" Quick Link is rated to at 1,760 lbs., 3" long X 1 1/2" wide X 5/16" diameter, good for horse trailer "butt" chains or 5/16" chain, or repairing snow tire chains for automobile tires.
3/8" Quick Link is rated to at 2,200 lbs., 3 1/4" long X 1 5/8" wide X 3/8" diameter, could be used for connecting safety chains to 2 or 3 horse trailers.
