1" Hard Plastic Replacement PRONG ONLY for black rubber door holdbacks. Center hole for screw installation.
This 1" prong is standard, and may be just what you need to hold your door less tight than the heavy-duty. You can determine this by simply how many times you have to tug at your drop-down feed window or tack room door when you want to detach it from the wall. If you have to tug too much, it is likely the door hinge will be compromised, and you will eventually end up replacing not just the hinge, but the whole window or door (expensive!)
We recommend using this prong on our 6 lb. & 12lb. rubber receivers, which should be used to hold drop-down windows & some tack doors.
Trail Pals tip: The 40 lb. pull door holdback is standard in the industry, for every door & window. Give yours the tug test & change your prong if needed. Replacing a HD prong with a standard prong may make all the difference if matched with a 40 lb pull rubber receiver.
If the door is heavy, such as a back door or some tack doors, this is the place you should have a 40 lb. pull matched with a heavy-duty prong, so they can't disconnect & blow closed.
