12 Volt Charger for Breakaway Battery Kits
If you don't have this installed on your 12 volt battery for your breakaway system, your battery may only last 2 years or less. You will also have to test the battery constantly to see if it is charged or not.
This little charger installs next to the 12 volt battery that connects to your breakaway system. The RED wire connects to the positive side of the battery. The BLUE wire connects to the wire going to the breakaway switch. The BLACK wire connects to the wire going to the vehicle battery. The WHITE wire is an extra ground wire.
Trail Pals tip: When you open your battery case to test the battery, make sure the vehicle plug is disconnected when testing or you are actually only checking the charge on the vehicle battery!
