WHY
INSTALL MORE TRAILER VENTS?
It
is imperative that horses stay cool and dry when being
transported. They need cool airflow and a way to move the hot
air away from them. Even in a stock trailer a horse can still
overheat if he is nervous, crowded or blanketed. In a
enclosed trailer, an animal can asphyxiate from truck fumes or
die from heat exhaustion if there isn’t a very efficient
venting system already in place. You probably already know if
you have an venting issue, so don’t take a chance. These
vents are easily installed by a metal fabricator, and most of the time,
can be replaced by a talented amateur.

Two-Way
Roof Vent Gasket |
 |
This is a 3/16" thick
closed-cell foam gasket. Closed-cell foam means the
gasket won't absorb water, so it prevents the two- way
roof vent from leaking.
We highly recommend that these gaskets
be installed with the steel and aluminum
two-way roof vents sold above. |

OLD
Roof Vent Replacement Handle
|
 |
For some older 2-way roof vents
These are the only type
of roof vent replacement handles we have,
and we don't know which brand they are
for! We got them from a dealer that is now
closed. They say SVL or SV1 on the bottom,
and they are the plastic handle that you
would grab to move the vent back &
forth. They fasten over a 1" X
1/8" metal piece & fasten with a
metal cotter pin, which you can get from
the hardware store. |
