your old cam bar latch with a newer,
easier & more secure KEYED cam latch
system.
The Keyed
Cam Latch is a secure latch
and lock all in one system! The
exterior is made from die-cast aluminum
and internal working components are of
stainless steel. They are available in powder-coated finishes.
The cam bar slides down
into the beveled entry jaw and opens the
bar lock lever. Then then as it slides
down farther, the bar lock lever securely
closes and retains the bar. Super-safe for
your animals, it cannot open without
manually pulling the bar lock lever
forward. The top 2 mounting screws
are covered by the cam bar for a theft deterrent.
*Your
entire order of keyed cam latches units
will be keyed alike, unless specified
otherwise.
*The
bar lock lever will hold up to a 1 1/4" tall and
3/8" thick cam bar. The keyed cam latch may not
completely cover the old cam bar latch holes
in the door. Usually, one hole is left
showing at the top. This can be closed
by inserting a sheet metal screw screw
left over from the old cam latch back into
the hole.

We have
upgraded our roof vents and now offer
you the best & safest roof
vent on the market today! The 3 metal
blades that were a danger to animals are
now eliminated--much safer for your
animals, in case of impact. The handle
with which to position the vent lid is fastened on much more
securely and it is easier to grasp.
It has a ergonomic grip ---one squeeze of
the handle relieves the sealing force
for simple opening in either direction.
In addition, there is a full-size
neoprene gasket in the lid to prevent
leaks, and a durable metal bug screen.
We
recommend installing the closed-cell
gasket made specifically for this roof
vent to prevent leaking. This gasket
also makes a great template for cutting a
perfect hole in the trailer roof.
We are
the only company we know of that offers two
sizes of plastic interior trim ring for this vent--1
1/8" tall for
a one-thickness roof or a taller trim at 2
1/4" tall for an
insulated roof--both at the same low price,
in black.

This is the
best new lock product for securing
Gooseneck Trailers! It is different
because it installs on the gooseneck jack
crank handle. It
takes just a few minutes to attach
the center section portion of the lock,
and it
stays on the trailer jack permanently. When you slide
the barrel over the center section, and
add a padlock, your jack cannot not be
operated,
preventing your trailer from being moved.

Replacement
"Butt" Chain for trailers
These are
the best, strongest and most comfortable
trailer replacement chains we can find. Both
sizes have 4 1/2" of 1/8" chain on
each end of a flexible steel cable covered by
1" thick black rubber. Comfortable for
the horse & easy to clean for you!

Trailer "butt" chains are necessary for two
reasons:
They serve as a barrier so the horse cannot exit the trailer
when the rear doors are opened.
They save the rear doors on the trailer from warping when a
horse rides with his weight to the rear when
trailering.

The most
important thing to remember when completely
replacing your trailer chains is that care
must be taken as to where you attach them to
the trailer. Be sure there are no protruding
steel clips or loops to cause injury when
the horse is moving backwards out of the
trailer. When the chain is let down, check
to be sure the snap or "S" hook
naturally hangs straight down or it can
catch on your horse's tail or blanket.
Recommended
hardware for completely replacing trailer
chains include:
1 flush
mount D-ring attached to the trailer
wall
2 "quick
links" at either side of the
trailer chain
1 heavy safety
snap or "S" hook to
attach the chain to the middle divider
1 weld-on
clip or screw-on eyebolt
attached to the TOP of the middle divider
(where the snap end of the chain attaches)
*Measure
the straight distance across the stall in
the trailer, then slack the chain a little.
The shortest animal should not be able to
get his back under the chain. On a horse,
the chain should naturally set about 1/2 way
between the hock and top of the tail. The
horse should be able to feel the barrier
when he puts pressure on it, then he should
move forward & the chain should slack at
rest. The barrier is adjusted correctly when
the horse cannot lean back on the trailer
doors when trailering.
