Machine Screw & Jacknut |

 |
#10 Pan
Head Machine Screw, in stainless steel. This
is the anchor system we recommend using to
secure the receivers for door stops and door
holdbacks. The screw is stainless steel, and
the jack nut is zinc/steel. Drill a
3/8" hole , then tap the nut in. Place the
part over the hole, & tighten the screw. It
creates an anchor that can't be pulled out
by yanking on the door. |

#12 Machine Screw
& Jack Nut |

 |
1/4"
Oval Pan Head Machine Screw (the size is
equivalent to a #12 screw). This is the
anchor system we recommend using to secure
the Keyed Cam Latch System, the rubber receivers for
our door holders and will work for both
sides of our silent door holders. The screw is stainless steel
or zinc, and
the jack nuts are zinc/steel. Drill a
7/16" hole, then tap the nut in. Place the
part over the hole, & tighten the screw. It
creates an anchor that can't be pulled out
by yanking on the door.
*This
anchor should not be used for hardware that
has a flush or flat back, as the jack nut
will hold the hardware away from the wall of
the trailer by 1/16".
*These actual machine screw's thread areas
are 3/4".& 1/18". |

TEK
Screws |
|
 |
Wafer
TEK screws have a 1/2" wide flat head, so
that a washer is not needed. These are
self-drilling, and are commonly used to attach rubber mats or liners to
the smooth interior of horse
trailer walls. They have a rust-resistant
coating, a good choice for aluminum trailers. Depending on how thin the
mat is and how thick the wall is, choose either 3/4" or 1 inch
long screw. When installing a very thick mat mat, use the 1 1/2" size.
Self-drilling, & the color is a very light
beige. The heads can be touched up with
black paint to match the mats.
*Can be used in other
applications where you don't want to use a
washer, and we have recently seen them used
by the trailer manufacturers to attach small trailer parts
to new aluminum trailers. |

Horse
Trailer Pad Retainer Clips |
|

Nylon/ Plastic
Black Retainer Clip
HOW MANY DO YOU NEED?
- 4 Clips for each 12" pad
- 4 Clips for each 15" pad
- 6 clips for each 24" pad
- 8 clips for each 40" pad
- 10 clips for each 60" pad
|
These are also known as "push pins". They
work with 1" double-wall aluminum trailers &
dividers, although they are designed for
just a one-time use. The nylon
threads are flexible, and they catch the trailer surface
& hold the pad tight. Using a drill with a 3/16" bit,
drill a hole through the flat pad border area & trailer
wall. Push the pin in with your fingers. You can use
less clips than with a screw application, drill less
holes, and it looks neater. Choose the 1" black retainer
clips for the pads we sell.
*These are also the common applicator for
homemade or commercial "upgrade" trailer
pads
that have no border, and here they are applied
directly through the foam area. For trailer pads
made with no border,
choose the 1 1/2" length black retainer clip.

Cushioned
Wall Fastener, 1/2" |

example of how these two
parts fit together as a wall fastener |
Cushioned Wall
Fastener, 1/2"
Commonly used on aluminum & steel horse
trailers in light applications to hold steel
rings and double-ended snaps for corner
feedbags, window screens and for holding
trailer dividers in a open position. The
remarkable thing is that it uses only one
screw or rivet, so there are less holes in
your trailer. The metal portion is steel,
with a non-corrosive zinc finish. The liner
is neoprene. When closed, the inside opening
is shaped like a teardrop, with a vertical
measurement of 1/2".
Install with #10 sheet metal or TEK
screw, sold on this page. |
